Team games: Tiger in the Grass

tigerSSplit your youth into teams. Prepare the playing area to resemble a grid – ‘the grass’ – using masking tape and pieces of paper (A3 or newspaper squares).

The leader makes up a map of the grid on a piece of paper to refer to and marks in squares that contain ‘tigers’. Youth have to navigate their team through the grid one square at a time without stepping on a tiger. If they do, they lose that team mate and start from the beginning. Teams have to remember which squares are safe and which are tiger ridden in order to make it through the grass first to safety.

The leader can roar if they step on a tiger, or not…
