Active & Interactive Prayers: Prayer Balloons

Contributed by: Jo Lane, Diocese of Nelson

prayerballoonsSYou will need balloons (ideally all the same colour) as well as strips of paper and pens for each person.

Get each person to write their prayer on the strip of paper, and then insert it into a balloon. The balloons are then blown up and thrown into the air (this is best done indoors so none fly away!). Each person then catches a different balloon and pops it. They will have someone else’s prayer in their hand. Open in prayer and invite each person to take turns praying.

It is amazing how honest these prayers are, and how much respect and love is shown towards each other’s prayers.
