Developing Leaders: Duty of Care

How hard is it to make sure your leaders have had adequate training in health and safety? People are so busy that getting them together in one place to spend the time required to train is challenging to say the least, and is made even more difficult by the fact that many will not see this topic as exciting enough to give up their precious time.

‘Duty of Care’ is a new online training course for volunteer and paid leaders. It covers the essentials of safe and ethical practice within youth and children’s ministry. Your leaders can work through it in their own time on their phone, and your church/key leader has a digital record showing them who has enrolled, who is working on the material, and who has finished. When they have read the content and answered all the questions correctly they can download a certificate of completion along with a 30 page manual that contains extra questions and activities.

Developed by kiwi youth ministry guru, Murray Brown of YouthTrain, this is an effective way to train your youth leaders.
