National Youth Facilitator - Applications open

Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia (Tikanga Pākehā)

Are you passionate about developing leaders and seeing young people grow as disciples of Jesus

Christ?

Tikanga Pākehā is seeking a National Youth Facilitator to encourage, equip, and connect those

leading youth ministry across the Anglican Church. This nationally significant role exists to

support diocesan youth leaders and practitioners, strengthen networks of encouragement and

collaboration, foster relationships across our Three Tikanga Church, and advocate for the faith

formation of younger generations.

At its heart, this role is about investing in people. We are seeking a relational leader who can

mentor and encourage youth ministry leaders, help identify and develop emerging leaders,

facilitate training opportunities, share effective ministry practice, and strengthen the confidence,

resilience, and effectiveness of those serving young people throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

The successful applicant will:

• Bring significant experience in youth ministry and leadership development.

• Demonstrate spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a commitment to Anglican faith and mission.

• Have a proven ability to encourage, coach, mentor, and develop leaders.

• Build strong networks and partnerships across dioceses and the Three Tikanga,

particularly with Tikanga Māori.

• Bring vision and initiative to help strengthen and renew youth ministry across the Church.

The preferred appointment is full-time (1.0 FTE), though applications for a flexible appointment of

not less than 0.8 FTE will be considered. The role may be based anywhere in Aotearoa New

Zealand and includes regular travel, with an expectation of engaging personally with each diocese

each year.
